This page started on August 1, 2004, one year to the day after the live journal photo community for which it serves as an archive, Rickman Daily, began. All the photos here are from various sources--print or otherwise--and their copyright remains with their respective owners. Page design and all other content, however, remain under the copyright of the webmaster.

The primary rule for this archive, as for the photo community, is no hot linking. Hot linking is when you post an individual photo on your webpage, blog, live journal, or community, drawing bandwidth from this server. Offering up links to this site or to individual pages within this site is fine; using an image tag or otherwise displaying photos from this server in other places is not.

As with the photo community, this archive will not include shots that intrude on Alan Rickman's private life. It will also not include photos taken by fans or fan art of any sort (though these are allowed on the community, if the poster has permission to repost the material--or is the artist/creator/photographer).

Finally, I have done my best to primarily include photos that are either not from fansites or are from multiple fansites, intending to strike a balance between the belief that one should not reproduce the work of other webmasters without permission and the belief that none of these photos are the property of webmasters at all. Hopefully, I have succeeded.
