Anthony Geary first performed on
the Los Angeles stage in 1969, starring with Jack Albertson and Martha Scott in
"The Subject Was Roses" at the Huntington Hartford (now Doolittle) Theatre. Theatrical
credits include "Barabbas," "The Glass Menagerie," "Cat's Paw," "The Inspector
General," and "The Wild Duck" at the Los Angeles Theater Center; "The Chinese
Zero" at the Heliotrope; and "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To the Forum"
at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara. He also toured with "Jesus Christ Superstar"
in the title role.
Geary has made guest appearances
in more than 50 television shows and starred in seven movies for television. He
portrayed Octavius Caesar, opposite Lynn Redgrave and Timothy Dalton, in Shakespeare's
"Anthony and Cleopatra," recently re-released on video. He is known around the
world as Luke Spencer in the ABC soap "General Hospital," for which he won an
Emmy Award in 1981.
His feature film credits include
"Pass the Ammo," "It Takes Two," "UHF," "The Disorderlies," "You Can't Hurry Love,"
and a host of other forgettable favorites.
"Human Scratchings" completes a 26-year
circle of friendship and admiration for writer/director Rick Edelstein.
Inside Right:
Rick Edelstein is an experienced
writer/director of stage, TV and film. He has also taught film directing at USC-Cinema
and is presently teaching a professional acting class in Los Angeles. He has written/directed
stage plays "like Later," "Birth of Disgust," "Reaching Out," "A Whore's Apprentice,"
and "Sexual Serendipity" in New York City and Los Angeles. He has also written
and/or directed many TV episodes including "Starsky and Hutch," "Sanford & Son,"
"Bob Newhart," "Maude," "The Colbys," "Cutter to Houston," "The Doctors," and
"Bright Promise." (The latter starred Anthony Geary.) He has worked as "creative
consultant" to Barbra Streisand on "Yentl." His most joyous moments involve experiences
with his four daughters and grand-grand-daughter, working with teens in Harlem
and professionals in his acting class, awakening to Spirit, and in the creative
search with Anthony Geary.
Kathi O'Donohoe (Lighting Designer)
has received L.A. Weekly Award for 'Career Achievement in Lighting Design.' Her
work garnered Drama-Logue Awards for "Madwoman of Chaillot," "It's a Girl," and
"Plato's symposium." Her credits also include "Never in My Lifetime," Jude Narita's
"Coming Into Passion," and "Song for a Sansei."
Jon Gottlieb (Sound Designer) is
the resident sound designer for the Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theatres. His
abundant credits off and on Broadway include Terrence McNally's "Master Class"
starring Zoe Caldwell, for which he received a Theatre L.A. Ovation Award. He
is the recipient of six LADCC Awards and more than 40 Drama-Logue and L.A. Weekly
Awards.
