The Wedding That Ended The "Luke"
and "Laura" Romance
Genie Francis and Tony Geary created
the classic beautiful couple for "Laura" and "Luke's" long-awaited wedding. (Above
photo: ABC; all others, Jim Warren.)
Location work had Tony Geary, entire
cast and many extras working all weekend!
|
"Bobbi," [sic] "Claudia" and "Tiffany"
were bridesmaids. Nearly frozen Pt. Chas. Was surprisingly lush, wasn't it?!
|
Some oak leaves and autumn color
came from as far as Colorado! Loanne Bishop and Doug Sheehan endured mid-80 L.A.
temp.
|
No doubt "Laura's" dad, "Dr. Rick
Webber" is hoping the second time will be the last time he gives away the bride!
Art Dir. Jim Ellingwood had only two weeks to prepare the gala.
|
Denise Alexander, Bianca Ferguson,
and Sharon Wyatt looked wonderful! There were 250 extras.
|
Lewis Edmonds [note: that's really
Edward Lewis], Anna Lee, and John Beradino, like others took the strenuous location
work in stride.
|
It was a country-style "pot-luck"
banquet. Crew actually cooked, but fly repellent was sprayed on great-looking
food! Yuck!
When "Luke" threw the garter, "Noah
Drake" caught it [note: that would be "Scotty Baldwin"]. The house is a replica
17th century Norman-French chateau. Neighbors included Mohammed Ali and Karen
Black.
|
There was a stuntman for "Luke's"
jump, but as usual, Tony did his own daredevil act. He likes a sense of adventure.
|
Kin Shriner was applauded by cast
and crew when he first appeared on set. Everyone's happy to have him back. (Between
scenes men passed time playing "liars poker" and betting on football and baseball
playoffs.)
|
"Scotty" was off to a rough welcome,
and chances are the going gets rougher!
|
"Claudia" and "Tiffany" may be stunned
by the hex "Mrs. Cassadine" placed on her newly wed couple. Stay tuned!
