Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) thought
that his romance with teenaged Laura Webber was solid as a rock. But when Luke
Spencer first met the young woman, he was immediately attracted to her.
Denying her feelings for Luke, Laura
went to work as a receptionist at ELQ. But soon, the couple would be tied together
again--when Alexandria Quartermaine (Renee Anderson) and her uncle Edward (David
Lewis) hired Spencer to find the Ice Princess statue.
On the run with Laura to avoid Frank
Smith's hit men, Luke kept searching for a mysterious "left handed boy" that would
yield the secret of Smith's codebook. Laura disguised herself with a dark-haired
wig and they both took on phony names. Following narrow escapes mixed with glorious
moments--among the most memorable a night dressing up in Wyndham's department
store--Luke and Laura found the "left handed boy"--a statue concealing millions
in gold!
Mobster Frank Smith's daughter,
Jennifer (Lisa Marie), wound up as the pawn in Luke Spencer's deadly confrontation
with her father. Desperate to save Laura from murder at the hands of Smith's Organization,
Luke promised to marry Jennifer--who really loved him. Of course, the marriage
never took place.
As Luke and Laura were drawn into
combat against the Cassadines, they found an unexpected ally in World Security
Bureau agent Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). When Scorpio and Luke teamed up
to vanquish the diabolical family, it would be the first of many bonds which forged
their friendship.
