Summary/Review:

This movie tells the story of a guy who moves out to L.A. to find a new life. Eddie gets a false lead on a job from the friend he's staying with and ends up handing out flyers out on the beach for the executive's brother, Tony, who owns a skateboard shop on the boardwalk (Anthony Geary). Eddie can't find a date, either, and though he tries on a squillion different personas in his dating service videos, he falls in love with the girl who works at the service, Peggy (Bridget Fonda), who loves him just as he is. He thinks she's taken, though, and gives up hope. Finally, though, he manages to maneuver his way up the ladder into a real job, and declares his love for Peggy at a wedding that he thinks is hers but is really for the other dating service lady. They live happily ever after, of course.

Anthony Geary:

Tony: "See, in this town you can make up whoever you wanna be."

Tony has short blonde hair for this one. He plays Tony, the guy who owns the skateboard shop down on the boardwalk. He lives in a box and appears to be both a touch violent and a tad insane. It turns out that he's just made himself into that because, in L.A., you can be whatever you want to be. He shows Eddie that he lives in the box because it holds everything he could need, and because no one will try to take it from him. Tony's only in the movie about 10 minutes, but the scenes of him driving golf-balls off onto the beach and standing up out of the box and spitting his toothpaste onto the sidewalk are choice. As always, he's the highlight of a truly mediocre picture.
