TV Guide, "Michael Logan on Soaps"
From a piece on the
hiring of Jill Farren Phelps as new executive producer:

She's the boss: (from

Phelps pooh-poohs the industry buzz
that she'll replace GH's current head writers, Michele Val Jean and Elizabeth
Korte, with OLTL scribe Megan McTavish, though she pronounces McTavish
"brilliant" and admits that her foot is in the door: "Megan
has written a document for a story line--a wonderful notion--that was pitched
by Tony Geary [Luke], but it has not yet been approved by ABC." If the plot
gets a green light, Phelps says it's exactly what GH needs to reclaim its
lost sense of magic and romance: "I feel the urgency to get this story going
as soon as possible. It will say to the audience, 'Come back, something big
is about to happen.' It will bring characters back together who should be together."
Word is, this would include the estranged Luke and Laura (Genie Francis).
