He talks about the wedding, his night on the town with Oprah in 1984, and on barely surviving the heyday of Luke and Laura.   May 14, 1997 - TV Guide Tony and Genie's expanded (from the print version, below) interview with Michael Logan, in which they talk about Luke and Laura, working together, their Emmy nominations, and the struggles behind the scenes.   May 17, 1997 - TV Guide This article, an edited version of the above online piece, appeared in conjunction with the 1997 Daytime Emmy Awards. In it, Tony and Genie talk about their nominations as well as keeping the Spencer franchise alive.   May 21, 1997 - TV Guide In this follow up to the duo's chat with Logan from the week before, Tony talks about the darkness inherent in Luke at the same time he emphasizes his connection to the other performers on the show. His talk about J.J. York and Kristina Wagner is intriguing, as well as his explanation of how he comes up with some of Luke's nicknames for people. And, of course, he talks about that fight with Culliton and his relationships with the powers that be. I've tried to put Logan's questions/comments in italics.   May 27, 1997 - Soaps in Depth In this rather fluffy interview, Tony, Maurice Benard, and Steve Burton give one line responses to a series of questions. Despite the format, the trio manages not only to entertain, but also to give some quite telling answers.   June 3, 1997 - Soap Opera News On the occasion of his 50th birthday, Tony talks about accepting GH as his career, the nature of his talent, and performing in daytime. He also talks about keeping the edge on Luke's character and being friends with Genie.   June 10, 1997 - Soap Opera News In the second part of the interview, Tony talks about his friendship with Genie Francis, his favorite Luke and Laura moment, and his summer vacation.   July 29, 1997 - Soap Dish In this interview, Billy Hayes (O'Reilly) talks about working with Tony Geary and Tristan Rogers on the Ice Princess storyline, as well as her return to the show with the introduction of Anna.   October 28, 1997 - Soap Opera Magazine This interview is part of a list of the 12 most powerful people in daytime.
