Above, Luke and Laura's troubles began the moment Helena Cassadine (Liz Taylor), widow of Mikos [sic], came to Port Charles.

The great moment comes! Luke and Laura listen intently as Port Charles' mayor intones the moving vows of this traditional ceremony.

Waiting for the wedding march to begin were (l-r) maid of honor and sister of the bride Amy, then Claudia, Tiffany and Bobbi [sic].

The wedding was far from the minds of the board of directors as Helena explained her plan to donate millions to General Hospital.

It was with deep love and pride that stepfather Rick Webber led Laura down the red-carpeted "aisle" and gave her away to the waiting groom.

The happy couple make the traditional run beneath the joined hands of their wedding guests and (right) take the first dance. The reception was a joyful celebration--until Scotty showed up.

Joy is written in the bride's face as she greets family and friends. It was a perfect day, made possible by the entire city of Port Charles.

With best man Scorpio and bridesmaid Tiffany by their side, the bride and groom sample the delicious four-tiered pink wedding cake.

The bridal bouquet, aimed for the arms of Amy, was caught by an uninvited and unwanted wedding guest: Scotty Baldwin!
